Dear Ms Welker,
I'm reading a book called too many pumpkins by Linda White. I predict that this book will be about a Woman who planted too many pumpkins. I predict this because of the picture on the title page.
My Prediction was right and wrong yes it was about growing too many pumpkins but she didn't plant them a pumpkin truck came by and a pumpkin fell. In fact she actually hated pumpkins and she didn't want pumpkins. So when I read I came across a hard word. The hard word was rutabagas I tried to read around but there was no clues so I went on answers.com and found out that it meant an edible root of this plant that I don't know. So when I read a part I thought that you shouldn't hate something just because you didn't have anything else. I also had a question. My question is that why did she just leave the the pumpkins and expect them to not grow? Then I read on and found out that There were tons of pumpkins because she just left them there and I found the answer to my question. The answer is that she tought that if she didn't tend them and water them they would die . So to conclude what I read ythe woman learned a lesson. The lesson was that she shouldn't hate something because she had too much of something( Also she kept seeds for the next year).
Sincerely,
Ana I .

ReplyDeleteI do believe you know that this book is NOT a just right book for you. It is too easy and is recommended for kindergarten through third graders. You are almost at the end of fourth grade. Challenge yourself!
Ms. Welker
